With input from the Garden Committee, Executive Director and Deputy Director/Curator, develop and maintain Morven’s historic property, including several themed gardens.
Ensure the grounds are presentable to daily visitation.
Create a maintenance/work calendar for staff and volunteers to ensure consistency in grounds presentation.
Perform tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, spraying, etc. to ensure that Morven’s gardens and ground are kept in the best possible condition.
Manage contracts for mowing and special treatments.
Manage Garden workers
Supervise and work alongside garden volunteers.
Train Garden Tour Guides.
Oversee the annual summer internships Isles.
Manage the annual Morven in May Plant Sale, including sourcing plants, creating catalogue, managing deliveries, sale set up and pricing. Manage sale volunteers and staff the event.
Develop the annual budget
Assist in Garden related programming
Other duties as assigned.
