Free to the Public with Many New Features this year!

Every year, in honor of Independence Day, Morven hosts a FREE event to celebrate our American heritage at the home-turned-museum of Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence



Parking:
Guests are invited to use the Princeton Theological Seminary or Monument Hall parking lots, or may park on the street. There will be no parking at Morven since many children will be on the grounds.

Weather: This event is SHINE only (due to the outdoor activities, it will be cancelled if there is prolonged rain).

New This Year: Free Admission to Morven Museum (timed entry may be required)

  • Meet and Greet Annis Boudinot Stockton

    • Annis Boudinot Stockton strolls her grounds and gardens to answer questions and take photos  

    • Hear Annis recite her poetry at 1:00 p.m.  and join in reciting the Declaration of Independence at 1:45 p.m. on Morven’s Great Lawn

  • New -  Revolutionary Photo booth #Morven4th

  • Liberty is…” interactive Chalk Art Wall

  • Sign the Declaration of Independence - An opportunity for all patriots   to “sign” the Declaration of Independence

  • New: Rare Stockton Papers - Open Archive of actual Stockton documents and Scavenger Hunt with the Historical Society of Princeton

  • Games and Prizes including 8x10 tintype valued at $120 at Morven’s Great Lawn tent

  • New: Tintype Photo Session with Collodion Collective on the Great Lawn.
    To register for one of the three photo sessions, email dlampertrudman@morven.org. There are only three tintype portrait sessions available, these are to be held on Morven’s Great Lawn: $120 per session for 8x10 portrait. 

  • Guided Tours of Morven’s Historic Gardens

  • New: Revolutionary Craft - Activities for adults and kids with the Arts Council of Princeton

  • Live Bluegrass Music - Bring chairs and a blanket and enjoy music by Ocean Country Band on Morven’s Great Lawn

  • Food Trucks -Refreshments available for purchase from Tower Dogs and
    New: Sweet Carolina Barbecue Co., Kona Ice, and Princeton’s own Milk & Cookies each providing a signature food or drink item.
