The New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra musicians present “Mythos”, a three-part series of string quartets pieces inspired by ancient myths and legends in Morven’s Stockton Education Center.  Short works are mixed  with lively and informative discussions with NBCO Artistic Director Mark Hyczko and his musicians. The November 10 program, the NBCO’s second appearance at Morven, is “Lethe” by leading opera composer Thomas Adès, Stacey Garrop’s “Athena Triumphant” and Laurie Schwendinger’s “Creatures.”  The ensemble will also premiere a work commissioned especially for this event by the New Jersey Composer’s Guild from student composer Molly Herron.  The NBCO’s concertmaster, Ruotao Mao of Princeton, will lead the quartet.  Light refreshments will be served throughout.

Tickets for individual, as well as the entire concert series, are available.
