From New York City
Take the
New Jersey Turnpike (I-95 South) to Exit 9
(New Brunswick/Route 18). Follow signs for
Route 1 South toward Trenton. Continue on Route 1 and take the exit for
Washington Road (Route 571) into Princeton.
From Philadelphia
Take
I-95 North (I-295 after crossing into NJ). Exit onto
US Route 1 North toward Princeton. Continue on Route 1, then turn left onto
Washington Road (Route 571) into Princeton.
From Washington D.C.
Take
I-95 North through Maryland and Delaware into New Jersey. Merge onto the
New Jersey Turnpike (I-95 North) and take
Exit 8 (Hightstown/Freehold). Follow
Route 33 West, then
Route 571 West into Princeton.
Parking in Princeton
There is free visitor parking available on-site. The parking lot is located at the end of Morven’s gravel driveway accessible from Stockton Street. Morven’s parking lot is available to museum visitors during our regular business hours, from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Parking for on-site programming is generally available during the program in question, with the exception of larger public events.
Bus parking is available for group visits; advance notice is required. Additional bus parking is available offsite; visit the Municipality of Princeton's tour bus parking resource to learn more.

Visiting Princeton by Train
From New York City
NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line runs from Penn Station (NYC) to Princeton Junction. From there, transfer to the
'Dinky' shuttle train to reach Princeton.
From Philadelphia
SEPTA's Trenton Line runs from Center City Philadelphia (30th Street Station) to Trenton Transit Center. Transfer to NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor Line toward New York, getting off at Princeton Junction. From there, transfer to the 'Dinky' shuttle train to reach Princeton.
From Washington D.C.
Amtrak's Northeast Regional Line runs from Union Station to Princeton Junction. From there, transfer to the 'Dinky' shuttle train to reach Princeton.
Visiting Princeton by Bus
From New York City
Coach USA's Suburban Transit System runs busses from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to Princeton.
From Philadelphia
NJ Transit Bus Routes connect Philadelphia with Trenton, where transfers can be made to Princeton via the 'Dinky' shuttle train, or via NJ Transit's Bus Route 606.

Princeton University operates Tiger Transit, a free shuttle service open to the public. Buses connect Princeton Junction, downtown Princeton, and other locations on the university's campus.

Princeton's municipal shuttle system runs loops through the city, connecting downtown Princeton to local residential and commercial areas.

NJ Transit Bus Routes 605, 606, and 610 have local stops in Princeton, and connect to the broader network of NJ Transit bus and rail systems.
