The purchase of a ticket includes access to Morven's permanent exhibition, as well as all special exhibitions currently on display.

As the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and five New Jersey governors, Morven has played a role in the history of New Jersey and the nation for more than 200 years. Morven’s history is America’s history, and we welcome you to experience it through the lens of this National Historic Landmark.

As 2024 marked our twentieth anniversary as a museum we took the opportunity to dig into our collections to share some of Morven's lesser-known stories. What do we uncover when we consider the everyday moments that made Morven a home for over two hundred years?

Curators are researching the complex connections between northern and southern families, and the interstate movement of enslaved people unveiling a story stretching from the late eighteenth century through the Civil War. This exhibit demonstrates how regional differences were not always as cleanly drawn as they may have been portrayed.
