Photography policy

For Visitors

Visitors on Morven’s grounds are invited to take photographs for personal and non-commercial use. Any photographic activities should not impede the safe usage or access to the site. Photographic activities should not alter or damage the site in any way. Photographing or recording private programs, events, or people without explicit permission is prohibited.

Inside the museum, guests are welcome to take non-flash photos during their visit except where signage indicates photography is not permitted. Tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed inside the museum.

For Commercial Photographers

  • Commercial photographers must submit an inquiry and have their activities authorized by the museum's administration.
  • Inquiries must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your desired date. Bookings are based on Morven Museum & Garden’s availability.
  • Any required permits are the responsibility of the photographer. Drone photography must be approved by the Princeton Police Department and Morven Museum & Garden prior to shooting.
