Discover the fun and wacky world of Improv (the art of acting without a script!) with McCarter Theatre Center! This lively program invites students to play, create, and perform their own original ideas. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of games and activities that explore all the foundations of great improv. All the while, they will develop skills like active listening, working together, and trusting their instincts.

In this 90-minute workshop, students will be surrounded by Morven’s garden in full bloom and use nature as an inspiration to create their own story! Students will be encouraged to think about how nature at Morven carries generations of memories and livelihood, as well as how it transitioned from a private experience to a public space that hosts a collective experience of the community.

This program is recommended for kids ages 8 to 12. Registration is limited to 15 students. Snacks and juice will be provided. The program will move inside Morven’s Stockton Education Center in the event of inclement weather.
