Gifts to Morven

December 2005; thereafter the paintings, sculpture, and furniture remains

Complementing the “Festival of Trees” event at Morven, this exhibit displays a selection of paintings, sculpture, and furniture from Morven’s permanent collection. All of the objects directly relate to Morven’s history.

Morven has a long tradition of gift giving, beginning with its earliest inhabitants. From the familial gifts of the Stocktons, to the official donation of Morven to the State of New Jersey in 1954 by Governor Walter E. Edge, Morven has been associated with bountiful generosity. Along with the “Festival of Trees,” Morven displays all the art and artifacts that it had received as donations since its opening in 2004 in this exhibit.
