Fourth of July

Stay tuned for July 4, 2026

In 1783, Morven hosted Congressional delegates celebrating Independence Day. Over 240 years later, the museum continues this tradition, utilizing our role as the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and as New Jersey’s first Governor’s mansion to engage the public in activities that explore and reflect on our full history and what it means to be an active citizen. This annual festival, always free and open to the public, features activities and artmaking with community partners; garden tours; music; food; a chance to sign the Declaration of Independence; and more. Stay tuned to learn more about our event in 2026!
