Digital Transcription VOLUNTEERING
Responsibilities
Letters are a gateway into the inner lives of people of the past - they give us clues about the particulars of friendships, family and daily life that may not otherwise be discussed. Access to transcriptions of these primary documents inform Morven’s exhibits and programming and we need your help!
Morven is looking for virtual volunteers to assist Morven’s curatorial team in our transcription project. Can you read cursive? Do you like historic gossip? Join our team helping to decipher historic documents from Morven’s collections as well as local and national collections. The transcriptions will help Morven’s curators research Morven’s history, and will be used for
our upcoming exhibition for the Semiquincentennial, Five Independent Souls.
Schedule & Commitment
Volunteers transcribe from digitized documents so that the work can be done anytime and anywhere.
